GoTyme Bank is a BSP-licensed digital bank in the Philippines. You can open an account in a few minutes on the app or at a kiosk, then print a free physical Visa debit card on the spot at a kiosk

Deposits are PDIC-insured up to ₱1,000,000 per depositor.

Who can open an account

You must be 18 or older.

Filipino citizens need:

  • One valid, unexpired government photo ID (Passport, UMID, SSS ID, Postal ID, PRC ID, Driver’s License, Voter’s ID, or PhilSys ID)
  • An active mobile number not already linked to another GoTyme account

Foreign nationals legally residing in the Philippines need:

  • A valid passport
  • A valid ACR-I Card (Alien Certificate of Registration Identity Card)

GoTyme also asks for tax residency details (FATCA/BSP). Make sure ID photos are clear and match the details you enter.

Option 1: Open via the app (then print the card)

This is the usual path if you want to start using the account immediately.

  1. Download the official GoTyme Bank app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Tap Sign Up.
  3. Enter your name, mobile number, and email (if you have one). Verify the OTP.
  4. Upload / scan a valid ID.
  5. Declare tax residency.
  6. Take a selfie for face match.
  7. Create your PIN and accept the terms.

Once approved, you can use the account in the app. You also get a virtual debit card for online payments and wallets. The physical card is printed later at a kiosk.

Option 2: Open and print the card at a kiosk

Kiosks are in many Robinsons, Shopwise, No Brand, and other partner stores nationwide. A bank ambassador is usually there to help.

Typical kiosk flow:

  1. Tap Open a new account.
  2. Review requirements and terms.
  3. Enter and verify your mobile number (OTP).
  4. Scan your ID and take a selfie.
  5. Confirm address, work industry, and source of funds.
  6. Create a username and 6-digit passcode.
  7. Set your debit card PIN.
  8. The machine prints your Visa debit card. Grab it quickly (you typically have about 30 seconds).

Signing up at a kiosk often takes about 5 minutes, and you walk away with the physical card.

How to get the physical card if you already opened in the app

  1. Find a kiosk: use gotyme.com.ph/kiosk-locations or search “kiosk” in the app Help/FAQ.
  2. Log in at the kiosk with your registered number / account details.
  3. Choose print / collect debit card.
  4. Set or confirm your card PIN if asked.
  5. Take the printed card.

First physical card is free. A reprint or replacement is typically ₱200, taken from your account.

In Cebu there are kiosks in places such as Robinsons Galleria Cebu, Ayala Center Cebu, Shopwise Basak, Lapu-Lapu / Mactan area stores, and other Robinsons/Shopwise sites. Check the locator for the current list before you go.

After you have the card

  • Use it at ATMs (GoTyme/co-branded ATMs are free; BancNet ATMs usually have a fee).
  • Tap or swipe in stores (Visa + contactless).
  • Keep the virtual card for online shopping so you can lock or replace one card without freezing the other.
  • Deposit or withdraw cash over the counter at partner Robinsons/Shopwise/Marketplace cashiers (limits and free-transaction rules apply).

Activate or confirm the physical card with the ambassador at the kiosk if the machine or staff asks you to.

Practical tips

  • Use good lighting when scanning the ID; glare and blur cause delays.
  • Bring the same ID you registered with.
  • Your first card print is free; don’t walk away from the printer slot until you have the plastic.
  • Hotline: #468888. In-app chat and help@gotyme.com.ph are also available.
